Kiel Johnson Cardboard Camera Art Project
This is a Video I shot of the making of Kiel Johnson's Cardboard Sculpture of a Twin Lens Reflex Camera made strictly from cardboard, hot glue, and tape.
See more of Kiel Johnson’s work at hyperbolestudios.com
Director of Photography: Theo Jemison TheoJemison.com
Edited By: Arthur Mor ArthurMor.com
Music By: Sixto Rodriguez Rodriguez on Light In The Attic Records
Shot with the Canon 5D Mark II, and other Canon SLR cameras.
About a month later we made the sculpture into a pinhole camera and actually took photos with it.
See some of those photos below or on flickr.

We have got some really great press this week about the project. Below is a article on Juxtapoz.com
And another big one on Boing Boing that got us 5,000 views from the Vimeo in 24 hours today...wow!

This iS a photo I am showing of Jamie Calvillo an Azteca Dancer I met at a Pow Wow in Los Angeles.
He told me he learned to hand make everything he is wearing from his grandfather, and has taught his son & grandchildren as well.

((( SUMMER LOVE GROUP SHOW )))
So I am a little late on putting the word out thru the Blog on this before the show. But it is still up and the prints are for sale at NONI BOUTIQUE until mid August.
HERE is a link to a Blog of all the work on display put together by Grace Oh who currated the show.
Below are the 2 prints I am showing.
Also beyond just being a group photo show I reached out to my good friend Kiel Johnson to build a giant card board camera for the show to put in the stores window. What he came up with is beyond what I ever expected and I filmed and did time lapse of the entire construction of the camera...more on that video project coming very soon...
