We have got some really great press this week about the project. Below is a article on Juxtapoz.com

And another big one on Boing Boing that got us 5,000 views from the Vimeo in 24 hours today...wow!

((( SUMMER LOVE GROUP SHOW )))

So I am a little late on putting the word out thru the Blog on this before the show.
But it is still up and the prints are for sale at NONI BOUTIQUE until mid August.
HERE is a link to a Blog of all the work on display put together by Grace Oh who currated the show.
Below are the 2 prints I am showing.
Also beyond just being a group photo show I reached out to my good friend Kiel Johnson to build a giant card board camera for the show to put in the stores window.
What he came up with is beyond what I ever expected and I filmed and did time lapse of the entire construction of the camera...more on that video project coming very soon...

Holga Piece For "The 100's" Group Art Show

CLICK ON IMAGE TO VIEW LARGERThe 100's group art show last week was amazing, people were spilling out onto the sidewalk the place was so full.
Above is my piece from the show, an enlarged contact sheet from a roll of film I shot last summer with my Holga plastic camera. It was a super hot day in the Mojave Desert.
I think the portraits of the crew in there sunglasses tell a funny little story.

14-year-old Beatle Fan Interviews John Lennon About Peace...Amazing!

n 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry has produced a film about it. Using the original interview recording as the soundtrack, director Josh Raskin has woven a visual narrative which tenderly romances Lennon's every word in a cascading flood of multipronged animation. Raskin marries the terrifyingly genius pen work of James Braithwaite with masterful digital illustration by Alex Kurina, resulting in a spell-binding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit, and timeless message.
